Are Penny Auctions for Real?

As of late, Penny Auctions in general have been taking in some flak, some bad wrap for- well most of the time over someone's stupidity- okay, so you lost, big deal, no one always win anyways. But didn't you have fun while you were at it?

People just gotta stop takin' smack about the penny bid games. Dude, if you totaly hate Penny Auctions- don't bid, don't sign up and don't give them access to your credit card. Its that simple!

Hate it when some dude gets so freaked out over their losses, or over them not getting freebies. Rule of the Internet, dude! Freebies are NOT Freebies, there's always a catch- people always want something in return. If you feel the site is too shady, don't sign up for it. Penny Auctions are not SCAMs, they're like any major auction site out there who want to cash in on your credit card over memberships and website use.

BidHere.com
BidHere is one of the most popular penny auctions today.

  • Members can post their bids both online or via a text message
  • New members get five new bids after signing up (just like other penny bid auctions)
  • Offers many auction types including: cash back, not a 24-hour, speed, $0, fixed price, and so on
  • The option to pay the price in bid credits worth the value of the product’s retail price or to pay the final auction price and receive the item in 14 days via post
  • The option to add shipping insurance for only $35
  • Bid packs are available in packages for as small as 12 bids for $15, to as much as 100 bids for $1,200
CONs
  • Good luck competing with a lot of members using their automatic bidding tool, BidMonkey
  • Longer auctions, with at least 25 seconds waiting time as compared to the tradition 10 seconds
